About Me

Headstand on the Equator in Ecuador

Hi! My name’s Kiki – it’s a little odd, but you’ll remember it, so don’t worry! I have a variety of passions and hobbies – my main passions are travel, photography, and living the adventurous life. In my normal day-to-day life, I sit at a desk and manage websites, work on HTML/CSS quirks and trouble-shoot web-related problems.

In my non-work life, I love photography and hope to continue practicing and learning to become a better photographer. Ideally, I’d love to get into action photography (school sports and such), in addition to extreme sports like mountain biking, climbing, skiing/snowboarding, and fast-paced adventures. My love for travel and photography has taken me to 14 countries thus far and through many states. I backpacked through Europe in the dead of winter, zip-lined through the cloud forest in Ecuador, climbed to El Refugio on Cotopaxi Volcano at 15,780 feet (4,810 meters), went horse-back riding in Pululahua Crater, and hiked and mountain biked to Machu Picchu, Peru. In the summer of 2009, I pedaled across the United States on a self-supported bicycle tour from Yorktown, Virginia to Portland, Oregon and then down the coast to San Francisco, California. While I have been rather fortunate to see so much in the U.S. and abroad, I still have a long list of places I’d like to explore. My bucket list is still rather long.
